Client: Contemporary Art Terminal

Walking along the Yangtze River, from the lower river beach to the level of the city, one can stroll on a gentle path following the pattern of bricks. Walk Along the River extracts the walking experience. 21 concrete blocks held up by a slim wooden structure, from low to high, thus forming a path. The path is not exact but ambiguous with the help of the delicate inclination on both directions of the concrete blocks. The wooden structure follows maximum efficiency while at the same time reveals the delicate inclination. In this way, the visual effort of lifting the heavy weight is downplayed. The pencil lines state the horizontality at the same time indicate the ever-changing water level of the Yangtze.
