Blue Square connects the historical fabric of Dali Village and Dali Primary School. The English word ‘Square’ at the same time has the meaning of geometrical square and also means piazza. Blue Square is a shallow squarish mark in the village and landscape. It coordinates the spatial order of various element in the place and reinforce the quality for public activities. Its structure and architectonic idea refers to the traditional construction. Different scenes is created with the help of hanging textiles. The ‘blue’ of Blue Square is not only a concept of color, but also the beginning of a series of material study, the blue dyeing technic, in different ways, is used to treat steel, wood, fabric and others.
